Undershaw is a specialist setting where children from Year 3 to Post 16 with mild to moderate learning difficulties and additional needs, such as ASD, cerebral palsy, hemiplegia, and medical vulnerabilities can access the national curriculum and qualification pathways in a safe, secure, and friendly environment.

🏆 Congratulations to all our award winners! 👏👏

Today was our final Celebration Assembly of the academic year and it was wonderful to see so many students recognised for their hard work and achievements. 🎖️

They should all feel very proud of themselves. It was joyful to see the students encouraging and celebrating each other in line with our school values of Respect and Kindness. ☺️ True Undershaw spirit.

Congratulations to Colclough House who won the House Cup! 🔵🔵🔵

We also said farewell to our Post 16 Leavers with Year 11 choosing to have a separate and special Leavers Assembly earlier in the term. We wish them all the very best of luck with their future endeavours….. and look forward to welcoming some Year 11s back for Post 16 next year.

Thank you to all the parents who attended and supported their child and the school today, or sent in cards and gifts, your kindness is always appreciated.

Undershaw Sports Day 2023 ⚽️🏐🏊‍♀️🏓🏃‍♂️

What a fabulous afternoon! A truly inclusive sports day where everyone had the chance to shine! 💫 Well done to Sam (Senior Head of House) and Will (Physical Activity Lead) for their hard work and incredible organisational skills. ⭐️

We started the day with team sports; football, volley ball, water volley ball, table tennis and table sports. Students chose which competition to enter, earning house points to hopefully win the Sports Cup! 🏆🤞

The whole school then gathered to support each other in the races and the highly competitive tug ‘o’war!

It was wonderful to see so many parents in attendance, being part of our school community and helping us celebrate the achievements of every student. Thank you!

Thank you also to Lin who baked some wonderful cakes for us all to enjoy!🧁

Tomorrow we will announce the winners of the Sports Cup in assembly…. Watch this space …… 🟢🔵🔴🟡
